Venice

The city of Venice reflects his image in the water and offers astonishing landscapes to the visitors. Tourists, even if just passing, are captured from the beauty of monuments and works of art.

Piazza San Marco, vibrant centre of the town and important urban and architectural building, has the same name of the famous Basilica San Marco. This monument was built with oriental features and with five Byzantine cupolas.
The wide surface of the square is surrounded on one side from the lagoon and on the others from the Bell Tower and the impressive historical buildings Procuratie Vecchie and Palazzo Ducale.

Trieste

Trieste is the Mittle-European city where the blue colour dominates. With his wonderful cliff and the splendid view on the Adria is the centre of the history and the culture of the region Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Here is the cross point of Mediterranean and Mitteleuropean features. Tourists can admire Roman ruins on the Colle San Giusto and visit the castle with the same name.
From the spectacular Piazza Unità of the 19th century, along the river they can reach the castle Miramare, which hosted the Emperor Maximilian and the beautiful princess Sissi.
In the near Slovenia it is possible to visit the Postojna Cave, an important tourist attraction.

Udine

Udine is situated in the middle of the region Friuli Venezia Giulia and is considered the historical capital of Friuli. Here tourists can have a wonderful promenade among monuments and buildings of the Middle Ages and drink a glass of the typical wine.
They can also visit the castle, the Venetian style square Piazza Libertà and the Archiepiscopal Palace with wonderful frescos by Tiepolo.
Among modern important monuments to mention is the new theatre Teatro Giovanni da Udine.

Verona

It is situated near the river Adige and is characterized by the romantic atmosphere of the story of Romeo and Juliet. This love story and the Arena are the main symbols of this town. Thanks to the urban structure and the architecture this artistic city of the western Veneto was declared UNESCO Heritage.
The Arena is the most famous monument and still nowadays, in the summer months, offers to visitors lyrical performances of worldwide fame. The opera season begins on 3rd July 2014 and on 24th July, 7th August and 4th September.

Portogruaro

Portogruaro is an artistic small town in the western region Veneto. In the historical centre tourists can plunge into an ancient atmosphere of the Middle Ages thanks to arcades and small bridges near the river Lemene.
